Within liquids there are cohesive forces keeping the molecules together. When we spill water on our smartphone, for example, the adhesive attraction between the water molecules and the phones surfaces is stronger than the cohesive forces within the liquid. As such the water spreads out on the surfaces. If this water remains in the circuitry it can cause long term damage to the phone through electrochemical migration and corrosion.
However, once a phone is treated by P2i it has a nano-coating one thousand times thinner than a human hair on all surfaces, which acts to lower the products surface energy. This means, that if we were to spill liquid on the treated phone, the liquids cohesive attraction would be stronger than the surface's interaction energy and so the liquid would simply bead up and roll away.
