Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Job Purpose & Context

We are currently looking for experienced Manufacturing Engineers to join our Operations team. The ideal candidate will be able to lead projects as required, maintain and produce accurate records and must have an Engineering HND qualification or above.

Key Tasks

•    To work on multiple manufacturing projects as required

•   To test and validate P2i products

•    To lead projects as required, taking responsibility for successful completion

• To maintain comprehensive and accurate records of all work in formats required

•    To produce progress reports as requested

Key Skills

•    Three-phase, single-phase and low voltage wiring

•    Panel wiring experience

•    Ability to read, understand, build to, and fault-find, using wiring schematics and circuit diagrams

•    Ability to read, understand, build to, and modify, using mechanical drawings, instructions, and BOMs

•    Ultimately – to test, fault-find, prove & validate electrical automation and mechanical functionality

•    Electrical background:  BS7671 (16thminimum/17thprefered)

•    Electrical safety testing experience (advantage)

•    Familiarity with IT: LAN/WAN/IP Configurations (advantage)

•    Familiarity with PLC & Automation Culture (advantage)

•    Pneumatics (advantage)

•    Vacuum technology (advantage)

•    Ability to work to agreed project programme, i.e. project deliverables on time

•    Microsoft Office (working knowledge of Excel and Word)

•    Ability to change direction at a moment’s notice, and prioritise to limit impact to the project

•    Ability to work in small company environment, with large company professionalism

•    Adaptability is essential within this role

•     Experience in product or process manufacturing in a commercial environment

•    Knowledge of manufacturing techniques, particularly for electro-mechanical assemblies

•    Experience of working in a commercial and scientific environment

•    Experience in project management (advantage)

•    Deliver allocated manufacturing projects on-time and to-specification

Essential Qualifications

Engineering HND or above

Travel: None predicted

Other Duties: Specialist projects as agreed with the line Manager to support the business requirements of the organisation. In addition, the Manufacturing Technician/Engineer will carry out any other reasonable duties requested.
