Andrea Traversone was appointed Managing Partner at Jolt Capital in Sept. 2025.
Andrea has been investing in deeptech since 1998, participating to the fundraising of 7 funds, totalling more than $1B in commitments. During this period Andrea carried out 20 investments for a total deployment of $220m, with significant subsequent exits.
In 2023 he was part of the founding partners team that created the NATO Innovation Fund (NIF) and was appointed its sole Managing Partner, building and running a team of 30 professionals, and opening offices in Amsterdam (HQ), London and Warsaw. In this context, Andrea supervised the relationship with more that 20 institutional LPs, and he carried out 4 of the first 10 direct investments in the fund.
Before leading the NATO Innovation Fund, Andrea had spent 25 years at Amadeus Capital Partners. From 1998 to 2009, he progressed from associate to partner, participating to the deployment of the vehicles Amadeus I, II and III, before being appointed to the board of the firm in 2009, a position he held until 2023. In 2013 he was promoted Managing Partner of Amadeus Capital and oversaw two different funds strategies: Amadeus Growth, where he led 4 generations of growth and secondary deeptech funds with total commitments of close to $400m, and Amadeus Digital Prosperity Fund (DPF) where he was in charge of $110m fund commitments.
Andrea started his career as an Executive Vice President in charge of Finance of Villa Playa Dorada, a hospitality group in Costa Rica. Between 1993 and 1997 he was in charge of all financial operations of 2 hotel properties and their investment programmes and the operations of one of the two hotels.
Andrea graduated from the London School of Economics in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science in Economics, International Trade and Development. He also graduated from an MBA from Cambridge University in 1998. Andrea is a Board Observer and Startegic Advisor to P2i Ltd.
Pierre Garnier is a Managing Partner and has over 30 years of operational and C-suite experience across large corporates and scale-ups, in sectors such as semiconductors, hardware, software and cybersecurity. Prior to joining Jolt Capital, Pierre was most recently President of e2v-semiconductor, a leader in the semiconductor market for aerospace & defence where he accelerated growth of 15% in less than a year before its sale to the Teledyne Group in 2017.
Preceding this, Pierre served as COO of Inside Secure (EUR: INSD) where he led its transformation from a semiconductor player into an embedded software security leader. Pierre has also held various other top executive roles including VP & General Manager of the Wireless BaseBand Business Unit at Texas Instruments (TI), CEO at Everbee Networks, and General Manager of the Broadband Chipset Business Unit at Alcatel Microelectronics (now part of ST-Microelectronics). Pierre holds an Engineering degree from École Supérieure d’Électricité (Supélec), and a Master of Solid State Physics from UPMC (Pierre and Marie Curie University).
Pierre is currently on the boards of Interel, MicroOled, Dolphin Semiconductor and P2i Ltd, as well as an observer on the boards of EfficientIP and Tehtris. Pierre led the exit process of UnitySC to Merck (ETR:MRK).
Marie Nicod joined Jolt Capital in September 2024.
A graduate of Ecole des Ponts ParisTech (ENPC) in 2008, then ENSTA (2009), Marie Nicod built up her expertise within the development programs of prestigious players in the defense industry.
First at Naval Group (2007 to 2018), then at Thales (2019 to 2022), where she was responsible for overseeing five strategic programs. Subsequently, she held the position of Group Technical Director and member of the Executive Committee of Aresia (2022 to 2023), assumed the responsibility of Investment Director Deeptech within Expansion (2023 to 2024) and is now a General Partner (2025).
Marie is currently on the board of BioSerenity and P2i Ltd.
